BAN ON POURING OF WATER, POPPING OF DRINKS, BREAKING OF BOTTLES AND RECKLESS DRIVING AT THE END OF EXAMINATION BY GRADUATING STUDENTS

This is to inform staff, students, other members of the University community and the general public that the University Senate of its 137 th regular meeting held on Wednesday, 25 th February, 2015 was informed of the activities of some students who in the euphoria of matriculation and graduation have
Senate was further informed that the action of some students regarding the last matriculation exercise almost led to loss of life of two students at Asaba Campus.
Other activities include popping of drinks and breaking of bottles on the road as well as reckless driving at the end of 2 nd semester examination.
Senate frowned at this nonchalant and unholy attitude of some of the students and decided as follows:
a) That any students found to be involved in unwholesome activities would be appropriately sanctioned.
b) That the aforementioned activities remain banned in all the Campuses of the University.
Consequently, students are kindly enjoined to adhere to the above directive; as any student who contravenes the Senate decision will have him or herself to blame
been observed to perpetrate all sorts of unwholesome acts like pouring of water on fresh students in their sleep on matriculation day.
